This seminar is aimed at familiarising teachers with the sub-strand Understanding the interrelationship of language and culture within the revised Western Australian Curriculum: Languages for Years 7 to 10. Teachers will be invited to notice how culture is not a separate element but underpins language learning throughout the revised Languages Curriculum.

Outcome

Teachers will be encouraged to make connections between the curriculum documents and their current teaching practices, and to identify opportunities where they can strengthen intercultural understanding within their teaching programs.
