This seminar is designed for:
* schools that are offering a course for the first time in 2022
* schools that are reintroducing a course
* teachers delivering one or more WACE courses for the first time in 2022 (e.g. graduate teachers, teachers who have not previously taught Year 11 or 12, teachers whose past experience has been interstate or overseas)
* new school leaders
Outcome
The seminar will focus on meeting WACE requirements for 2022 relating to:
* course outline
* assessment outline
* assessment tasks
* marking keys
* standards
* Authority moderation processes for 2022
Event notes
Attendance is not compulsory but highly recommended for:
* schools that are reintroducing a course
* teachers delivering one or more WACE courses for the first time in 2022 (e.g. graduate teachers, teachers who have not previously taught Year 11 or 12, teachers whose past experience has been interstate or overseas)
* new school leaders
Schools are responsible for any costs incurred (e.g. teacher relief, accommodation, travel) as a result of attendance at these seminars.
Participants must bring a digital device such as a laptop or notebook (a mobile phone will not be adequate) to complete online surveys and access the Authority website during the seminar.
Participants are advised to have available a hard copy or electronic copy of the 2022 WACE manual.
